Before the procedure, clients receive accurate information, personalised counselling and appropriate health assessments to support informed and voluntary decision making.

After the procedure, clients receive guidance on wound care, HIV and STI prevention, healing and when to resume sexual activity. We also provide follow up care and timely referrals for further assessment or specialised services when required. Male circumcision reduces the risk of acquiring HIV but does not provide complete protection; continued use of other preventive methods, including condoms, remains important.

What is male circumcision?

Male circumcision is the surgical removal of the foreskin, the skin covering the tip of the penis. It is one of the oldest and most common surgical procedures worldwide, performed for cultural, social, and medical reasons.

What are the health benefits of male circumcision?
